The province of Cordoba is probably the most interesting place to visit in Argentina besides the picturesque landscape of the south around Bariloche. The city of Cordoba is not as packed as Buenos Aires but still has a great historical significance and its surrounding villages are among the most beautiful once, embedded in mountains and small rivers.
Ciudad de Córdoba
A quite happening place. It has lots of beautiful plazas and historical buildings, including an old underground tunnel connecting the churches (which however is not intact anymore). It is a typical big city I would say though.
A town towards the south of the city of Córdoba. It has a nice central plaza that extends to the city park. Alta Gracia is famous for its Che Guevara Museum, which is the old house he lived in with his family as a child. Good place for people interested in the person of Che Guevara. A bike tour outside of the city is a great way to see more of the beautiful place.
